ETL summer update: keeping pace with energy efficiency
As we head into summer, the pace of change across the energy efficiency sector shows no sign of slowing. From evolving technologies to continued pressure to reduce energy use and operating costs, businesses and the public sector are looking for ways to improve performance and support sustainability ambitions.
Against this backdrop, access to independently verified product data plays an increasingly important role. The ETL provides a single, searchable resource of energy efficient products, stringently assessed against robust criteria to help purchasers make informed decisions with confidence.
In this edition, we highlight outcomes from the ETL’s 2024/25 Research Programme, which ensures our criteria continue to recognise the top 25% most energy efficient products on the market in their class. We also share practical guidance for purchasers and manufacturers, including advice on selecting the right products, maximising the value of an ETL listing, and understanding the application process.
Finally, we are pleased to welcome 17 new product additions from three manufacturers, spanning lighting, cooling and refrigeration technologies.
